Welcome to your number one source for official AshCity news. This is where we'll be posting information regarding our recordings, upcoming events and any press releases (ok, if we ever make a press release, we'll be sure to post it here.) Here's a few notable events that occurred before the creation of this page (March 10, 2001):
September 9, 2000 - performed at the Western Fair; London, Ontario.
Before the Angels Fell unleashed upon Western Fair; but nothing could have beaten the jam session afterwards...
September 21, 2000 - "Concert for a Captain"; Ridgetown, Ontario.
Small but intimate, braved the frost bite and came away smiling. Most memorable moment: harmonica solo.
October 28, 2000 - "Scouthut Concert"; Ridgetown, Ontario.
Thanks go out to Pat and Chris, Blaw Knox and King Bass. We felt that we played particularly well on this night.
RECORDINGS
Early march we completed our "first" CD, "It's Our War Now." This was a collaborative effort which saw works from AshCity and Machine Gun Billy (Grayson and his brother Patrick Lenover) come together to produce a solid album, with songs ranging from the mellow acoustic/keyboard number One Last Prayer to the hard driven rock of Angel Do Fall. A MILLION thanks go out to Ben Srokosz for recording, producing, playing keyboards and everything else... not to mention making us sound almost like professionals! Here's an overview of the CD

We hope to be able to release AshCity's first CD sometime in April. It will include some of the early AshCity tunes, as well as a slew of new ones. Hopefully we can start putting lyrics up sometime too. Stay tuned or contact us for more details.

So there you have it, we will be posting more information as we get it. Hope to see you there. A long hiatus for Ashcity, with 3 or 4 members receiving educations at respected scholastic institutions throughout Ontario. We are hoping to get together for some Lester's shows during the summer of 2002. I doubt this site is being visited these days, oh well. More to come..
